The new album features a nostalgic yet dark sound.

Alien Skin is the project of musician George Pappas, an outstanding musician with a long history, known for being part of the eighties synth pop band Real Life. So when talking about his career, we have to consider that he has been a musician for more than 40 years.
This year Alien Skin surprises us with the release of the album "Cold War Pop", in which it shows us that its resurgence continues with electronic rhythms, this time a little more nostalgic but without neglecting dance tunes.

About this album, the musician stated that: "I am in love with cold war synth-pop, it is not only one of the tracks on the album, but it is the reason for this album. As for the timeline, I mean the late 1970s to early 1980s. From an iron curtain that divided Berlin and London in a winter of discontent. The Bowie-Eno era combined with German elektro-pop musically influenced much of what unfolded in this roughly 5-year period. A brief but explosive synth-pop and post-punk subculture developed that bombarded my consciousness as it did many of my contemporaries. The union of man and machine, an electric language, in a context of the cold war era atmosphere that existed then and exists now within this album. "

"Cold War Pop" is undoubtedly one of Alien Skin's most brilliant albums, since it was able to capture very well what happened in those years, when it was a dark time, but at the same time full of changes, which marked many and that will certainly attract the attention of new generations.

On his new album George Pappas stated that: "It is just as important or even more because it was written today. But its melodies, often a tense atmosphere, analog rhythms, sequences and synthesizers deliberately come from the era of the late 70s to the beginning of the 80s. It's grim and mechanical at times, beautiful and human at other times. It's Cold War Pop and picks up where my previous album left off, but with more post-punk dirt on the beats. If you lived through the time, listen to it in its entirety and be the judge. If you were not there, it will be an experience that you will want to live indirectly because I think it will take you to the heart of what you missed. "

With all these antecedents, in addition to the great career of the musician, we have no doubt that "Cold War Pop" will be one of the best albums of this year.
