This is the powerful return of the Australian duet The Crystalline Effect with their second full-length album "Identity", which follows the past year release of "Hypothermia" (remix-ep). The Crystalline Effect combines the dancing rate, includes elements of trip-hop, synthpop, techno and even traditional EBM with the melodious, slightly depressive voice of female singer. Album can listen to both the fans of danceable synthpop with female vocal and the fans of the slower, spellbound melodies in the key of such groups as Collide, Hungry Lucy, full of gloomy magnetism and crystalline as "glass" voice of Elenor.
The two Australians are masters of creating catching music-sculptures without falling into boring primitive banality. So what, the past 2.5 years from their debut "Glass" and the obtained result give all rights to say that the band is in a creative takeoff and is full of original innovation ideas.
