The Mortusae double cd album is an epic release produced by Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe, aka Sal-Ocin (This Morn' Omina, Tzolk'in). This amazing album includes new, rare and long deleted tracks and is a journey through time, regions and atmospheres. Mortusae is a retrospective of different periods of Empusae’s almost decade long existence. The album includes rare tracks from his first albums which were not released on HANDS, including also the first ever Empusae album, more recent collaborations with close friends, tracks from the legendary Maschinenfest 10 year anniversary performance and comic book soundtracks. All the material has been re-mastered by Mike Goedrijk (This Morn' Omina, Pow(d)er Pussy). The red line through Mortusae and Empusae’s essence consists of a dark, melodic, danceable and atmospheric body of electronic music based on the human gift of fantasy.
