Uni_Form - 1984 (CD)

Uni_Form is a Portuguese band in exis-tance since 2006 and composed by David (bass), his brother Nuno (drums), Billy (lead singer) and Miguel (guitar+synths). The band is built on an inheritance from a group of bands, mainly from the 80’s, on the indie/post-punk/post-rock scene,with main influences from The Cure, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Depeche Mode or Pixies.

Uni_Form’s sound is based on the contrast of dark atmospheres with light, strong and rhythmic sonorities. “1984” is the project’s second album and was – of course - inspired by George Orwell’s book, as a reaction on the lack of freedom of speech and some control mechanisms that seem to see a big revival in these hard days of worldwide crisis. Uni_Form have played at many international festivals, including the Wave Gotik Treffen and with ‘1984’ they finally see a worldwide release of their sound.
