“I find here everything, and even more, that attracted me when I’ve discovered WFW with “The Curve Ep”. Explosive and enjoyable music, powerful sounds decorated by ubiquitous synths offering sublime electro sounds. The whole is supported by ZeN’s voice, who has a warm and captivating tone.
Once again some aspects of Waiting For Words music makes me think so much about DIARY OF DREAMS, and it is to the credit of those frenchies as I love Diary Of Dreams who offers also, after having been through a Darkwave period, a futurist electro pop music. WFW goes further, since in addition to navigate through a futuristic electro-pop style, the band offers touches of New Wave and rock of a good sign.
"Follow My Voice" begins gently before sending the big sound in the ears. It's rhythmic, deliciously provocative and fun. It starts strong! "Please" is one of my favourite tracks. It is very electro with lyrics and rhythm that stay in mind. "Miles Away" is a powerful hit, THE hit of the album. ZeN is accompanied by the Soe_V on vocals. The melodies are powerful and addictive. It's a title that manages to convey emotions, letting yourself being carried on and you press replay over and over again!
Of course, there are also tracks from “The Curve Ep” in new versions: "For All My Sins", "The Curve" (in a really heady dancefloor version) and "By Your Side" This one was the first that made me think the most of Diary of Dreams.
"Out Of Control" is more chilled and more rock at the same time. The chorus is simply fascinating. There is an instrumental track, "New Town". Quite nice and showing the wide range of the band’s different music styles. "Message" is very electro and is beautifully built. A new bomb in the actual music scene!
"Mad World", well known hit from Tears For Fears, is more punchy compared to the original. Then, cooler and acting as musical UFO, follows "Mon Ami (My Friend)", another duet (with Soe_V), in French. Pretty good!
"Signs" ends “Follow The Signs” with beauty and softness.
We have here a very good album with some musical bombs. If you like electro sounds, you just have to throw yourself in “Follow The Signs” available both in digital and CD.”
