Haunt Me - En Tu Cama / Limited Silver Edition (12" Vinyl)

In its fifth year of existence, the Texan project HAUNT ME by Darius Davila offers another album that combines the two digital-only EPs „En Tu Cama“ and „Come Now, Sleep“, which were released in 2023 and 2024. HAUNT ME is a „modern“ band, in the sense that it relies heavily on the digital distribution of music. Songs are released on Bandcamp in quick succession, some of which are later combined into albums, as there is still a demand for physical releases.

On this new Album, the style of their first album „This Sadness never ends“ is consistently continued. There is absolutely solid darkwave to be heard, which impresses above all with beautiful guitar lines in the style of the 80s and a dark but unaffected voice. „Disco Oscuro“ is exactly what the title promises, a dark song for clubs that don't just rely on electro. „Bésame“, on the other hand, is almost poppy and catchy.“La Noche eterna“ begins with a cure-like bass line, complemented by echoing guitar and (synthetic) church organ, Darkwave at its best.

Another catchy tune is „I miss your Lips against mine“ with a guitar that could have come from Mephisto Walz, but is rhythmically more dancefloor-orientated. „I crave only You“ is something similar with strange vocals. „Entumecido“ is beautifully atmospheric - just like the whole album - and should appeal to Twin Tribe-fans in particular. Finally, „Come now, Sleep“ once again brings the very dark atmosphere that is otherwise familiar from Drab Majesty, for example.
