Continuing his trajectory of blurring the lines between, industrial, techno & cinematic ambient music. “Collapsing Empires” was conceptually written as the companion to Rhys's recent self released “Brutal Nature” album. Both albums written in continuity during the height of the Covid pandemic are laden with deep and lush textures of contemporary sound design. This is a cerebral journey driven by reflective and introspective soundscapes that weave in an out of mesmerizing drum rhythms. With this album Rhys add's another masterpiece of electronic music to his five decade spanning discography.
