German EBM pioneers Tyske Ludder return with Weltenbühne, a bold and ambitious concept album dedicated to the life and legacy of acclaimed writer and satirist Kurt Tucholsky. The album will be released on June 27, 2025 via the renowned label emmo.biz, available in several exclusive formats: standard CD, a limited edition box set, and two limited vinyl editions.

Kurt Tucholsky (1890-1935) was one of the most influential political writers of the Weimar Republic. A passionate journalist and co-editor of the legendary weekly Die Welentbühne, Tucholsky stood out as a sharp-witted critic of society in the tradition of Heinrich Heine. He was a satirist, cabaret writer, poet, novelist, and essayist, and identified as a leftist democrat, socialist, pacifist, and outspoken anti-militarist. A fierce early critic of National Socialism, Tucholsky was stripped of his German citizenship in 1933 and took his own life in exile in Sweden two years later.

With Weltenbühne, Tyske Ludder transform Tucholsky's themes into a dark and compelling sonic experience that bridges Dark Electro, Industrial, and EBM. The lyrics draw directly from Tucholsky's original quotes, poems, and essays, set against contemporary soundscapes that reflect both the incisiveness of his critique and the haunting solitude of his exile.
