4 full length CDs in seperate Digipaks + 16 pages booklet, inside a cardboard outer slipcase!

In the late 80ies Effetto Joule was a now legendary synth wave/synth pop band in Italy, composed by Valerio and Flavio Biagi (later Il Gabinetto del Dottor Caligari and more synth projects, vocal guests in Alma Mater and so on...) with Massimo Chericoni and Valerio Tassinari. The band was heavily inspired by early Depeche Mode and darker electronic / sci-fi themes.

Though the band self-released only 2 tapes (Ultraviolet A and B) and the “Roberspierre” 12" in 1989, singles and compilations have followed in revival spirit of recent years, trying hard to resume part of the hidden and unreleased production of the band.

890X is Effetto Joule definitive collection, including 4 full length CDs for a total of 72 tracks. CD 1,2 and 3 collect tracks in cronological order, divided by years, CD 4 includes later productions from 1992 until today – in detail: Music and lyrics: Flavio and Valerio Biagi except: tracks 1 & 5 music and lyrics by friend Paolo Di Nicolantonio, multi-instrumentalist, synth expert, important blogger and influencer on the "Synthmania" Youtube channel with almost 150,000 followers. Track 4 re-built version of “Telephone” (on CD3), in Carisma Studios with analog synthesizers by friend Joa Saleina. 2 & 8 contain guitar inserts by Giorgio Giovannini, a highly experienced musician and DJ. Track 13 is a re-built version of “Glass”, by friend Maurizio D'Ambrosio who is passionate about electronic pop…
